Ms. Hen reviews Cyber Mage

Cyber Mage

Unnamed Press

2021

Ms. Hen decided to read this novel because it was recommended from her library on an email about science fiction novels. When she started reading this novel, at first she really liked it, but then it got annoying. This is about a fifteen-year old boy who lives in Bangladesh about a hundred years in the future who is the Cyber Mage, and he makes money with computers. He decided to go to high school because he likes a girl. This novel is supposed to be funny, but Ms. Hen didn't think so. There are parts of this novel where Ms. Hen's eyes glazed over, and she did not understand, the parts about djinns, Ms. Hen did not care for. The only sections Ms. Hen thought compelling are the sections when the character is in high school, and he is being bullied. There are too many words in the novel, and Ms. Hen didn't have the energy to finish it. She does not recommend this.
